QA Engineer

 Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with strong testing skills and documentation expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in testing mobile and web applications, along with a solid understanding of Linux environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products while also contributing to maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional, regression, UI, and UAT testing for mobile and web applications
• Create, maintain, and review test plans, test cases, test reports, and release notes
• Log, track, and manage defects from discovery through resolution
• Prepare and maintain functional guides, application process documentation, user manuals
• Work closely with development, product teams, and participate in Agile ceremonies
• Configure and manage testing environments like Linux systems and Docker containers
• Assist in release coordination and post-deployment validation to ensure quality standards
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and defects
• Advocate for quality best practices in open-source software and testing methodologies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing and documentation for mobile and web
• Strong expertise in test documentation (test cases, plans, reports, release notes)
• Solid communication skills to document, report, and communicate findings effectively
• Familiarity with open-source software and technologies is highly preferred
• Proficiency with Linux environments and troubleshooting within Linux systems
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and understanding of SDLC
• Experience with defect tracking and ticketing systems
• Understanding of web applications, databases and Odoo (ERP) is a plus

Educational Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
